Mondays' snowfall leads to traffic accidents

Highway crews were busy Monday and area police agencies reminding drivers to be ready for changing road conditions as the winter season has settled in.  Monday's snow may have caughgt some motorists off guard.  Expected snow flurries turned into a dusting that covered vehicles and roadways.  Some slick conditions led to accidents, slowing traffic quite a bit on interstates and county routes.  State, County and Township and Municipal road crews were quickly in action to lessen the impact.

Snow flurries at mid-morning soon turned to blowing and sometimes blinding snowfall.  As the snow accumulated, while light still caused some drivers into accidents. Slick roads reported much of the day.

Police and highway workers asking all drivers to educate themselves about changing conditions and the cold temps.
