While health officials continue the push to get more people vaccinated, additional deaths are being reported from COVID-19.  Three more deaths from the virus have been recorded in Kankakee County.  Kankakee County health officials now report 238 people have died since the pandemic began in March of 2020.  Ford County has added two more individuals, a male and a female in their 50's.  The health department  in Paxton reports 48 individuals have died from the virus.

The Illinois Department of Public Health is hoping the newly-announced lottery promotion will encourage more people to get the vaccine.  The "All In for the Win" promotion will offer chances for cash prizes to those who get at least one dose of the vaccine.
