Iroquois County Public Health Department officials are reporting 130 new confirmed cases of coronavirus.  The new number is since the last update August 23rd.  The Delta variant of COVID-19 has been identified in Iroquois County individuals.  Officials say the Delta variant is about 60% more contagious than the other alpha variants.

Sixty-seven new confirmed cases reported by the Ford County Public Health Department.  An outbreak at Accolade Healthcare of Paxton finds 41 of the 67 cases connected to that facility.  

Vermilion County reports seven people who have been re-infected with COVID since July 1.  Seven of 85 new cases reported Monday were individuals already fully vaccinated.
