The Ford County Health Department in Paxton will offer another drive-through COVID testing program. This time, the testing is being offered in Gibson City.

A mobile testing unit managed by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) will be stationed in Gibson City Sunday, January 17, 2021.  It's planned at 8 am to 4 pm in the 100 block between Sangamon and Church St., Testing is free and open to all regardless of symptoms. Simple nasal swabs will be used. A phone number and name are required to receive testing results. Individuals will be called with results within 4-7 business days.

Many healthcare providers in Ford County also have COVID-19 testing available. Citizens are encouraged to contact local facility operators to ask about testing criteria and appointment availability.
