A Gibson City man died after crashing his motorcycle in Iroquois County.

Illinois State Police report 70 year-old Rodney Cote was driving on Illinois Route One at around 6 am Thursday. His bike left the road, went into the ditch and he was thrown off. Cote was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead by the Kankakee County Coroner.

State police are investigating the accident.
