A 73-year-old motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries in a crash Monday in Kankakee County.  David Boudreau was identified as the victim of a car - motorcycle crash near 4718 E and 2000 N Roads.  Sheriff's Police responded about 5:30 pm.  The driver of a car, on 2000 N, told police she didn't see the motorcycle on time as it came out of a ditch.  The victim was found unresponsive on the road.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.

                 -- Newton County Felony Drug Charges  --

A traffic stop on U.S. 41 Tuesday morning led to felony drug charges against a Lafayette, IN woman.  Indiana State Police stopped a vehicle at State Road 114 for driving well below the posted speed limit and then making an abrupt stop at an intersection where a stop is not required.  The trooper observed indications of drug use within the vehicle and a search then revealed suspected Meth and Marijuana.  

46-year-old Aeisha Chapman was jailed in Newton County for Possession of Meth, Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia.
