Murder charges filed in fatal Oakwood shootings

Three teenagers face murder charges in the fatal shootings of two young men in Oakwood. Vermilion County Sheriff’s Police have identified three teens arrested for the murders of 19-year-old Wyatt Bailey of Oakwood and 15-year-old Clayvonte Sloan of Rantoul. The two victims were shot outside a trailer home in Oakwood Sunday.

18-year-old Ali M. Bryant of Danville, 17-year-old Camarion Halthon, 16-year-old Jaevin Griggs, and a 15-year-old boy are charged with murder, armed robbery, robbery and mob action.  Investigators call it a drug deal gone bad. Police said there was a struggle during an attempted robbery in the drug deal.

Sheriff’s Police reported Sloan, Griggs, Halthon and Bryant had all gone to Wyatt Bailey’s home for a drug deal.
