‘National Night Out’ hopes to avoid weather >

It's been a popular program at the Perry Farm in Bourbonnais. And organizers are hopeful the rainy forecast will let the event happen without problems.

The National Night Out is Tuesday, August 6th beginning g at 4 pm.

The program promotes a partnership between police and community, fighting crime with a fun, family event. Bradley Police and other area law enforcement agencies will host the event for a 7th consectutive year.

Former State Representative Lisa Dugan says current Rep. Kate Cloonen and Senator Toi Hutchinson will provide free school bags with supplies on a first-come, first-served basis.

Family games, musical entertainment, and hot dogs prepared by the Homestead Restaurant will be served. Other prize give-aways are included. A fireworks show will wrap up the evening at dusk.
