State regulators announced two more medical cannabis cultivators can grow and process cannabis for the state’s adult-use program that starts next month. The facilities in Albion and in Shelbyville being approved brings the number of cultivators to 16. The next round of cultivator applicants, including smaller craft growers, will be open January 7 through March 15.

Site locations in Kankakee and Livingston County were among the earlier-approved locations for a cultivation center. Cresco Labs LLC in Kankakee and Joliet were included in the list of 14 sites licensed for adult-use growth.  PharmaCann in Dwight and GTI Oglesby LLC are also included in the 14 approved sites earlier by the Illinois Department of Agriculture.
