New Team to lead National FFA

                                      Illinois student earns title of President

A veteran FFA student from Illinois has been elected the national president of FFA.  Thaddeus Bergschneider earned the prestigous title at the National FFA Convention, which wrapped up in Indianapolis this past weekend.  Bergschneider is a College of ACES student ar the U of I and a former member of the Franklin FFA Chapter, where he served as president  during 2023-24. 

Morgan County is celebrating the honor bestowed on the University of Illinois student. 

The 2024-25 National FFA Officer Team was announced (Saturday) at the final session of the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis.

In his role as president of FFA, Bergschneider will interact with business and agriculture leaders, FFA members and teachers, government and education and more. The entire leadership team will lead training conferences for FFA members throughout the country. The FFA reports their role also includes setting FFA policy. 

As president, Bergschneider will lead the 945,000 members of the National FFA Organization. There are over 9,000 local FFA chapters in the 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.  The FFA Chapter at Franklin makes note that Bergschneider also received his American Degree, the highest degree an FFA member can achieve, and something only around 1% of members have earned.
