Newton County, IN Sheriff's Department identifies deputy wounded in line-of-duty incident in Iroquois County

                           Prayer Vigil held outside the Newton County, IN Sheriff's Dept for wounded deputy

An organized prayer vigil was scheduled Monday evening outside the sheriff's department in Kentland to seek and pray for the recovery of Corporal Brandon Schreiber. The five-year veteran of the department has been listed in critical condition at Carle Hospital in Urbana. 

The deputy was transported to Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka then airlifted to the Carle Trauma Center.
