-Loses battle to cancer -

Newton County, Indiana Sheriff Don Hartman Sr. died Thursday, losing his battle with cancer.

Funeral arrangements have been announced. Visitation is planned for Saturday, August 24th from 9 am 'til 1 pm at the South Newton High School in rural Kentland. A funeral service follows at 1 pm.

Burial will be at the Bushwell Cemetery, near Mt. Zion Church in Newton County.
