Two Demotte, IN suspects are facing theft charges after their arrests on warrant for a September 7th theft from a Newton County business. Court papers show the theft case involved Urban Forest Products LLC of Brook, IN.

The investigation reveals during a 5 year tenure at Urban Forest Products LLC , Ruth Osby (Hisick) had fraudulently transferred $513, 023.25 into 3 banking accounts under her name and that of her husband Jason Hisick.

Arrest warrants were issued for Osby and Hisick by the Newton Superior Court. The Jasper County Sheriff’s Department assisted with the warrants.

Ruth Osby was charged with Corrupt Business Influence, 27 counts of Synthetic Identity Deception and Theft. Her bond was set at $1-million dollars, then reduced to $250,000.

Jason Hisick was charged with Conspiracy to commit theft and posted a $3500.00 cash bond.
