A garage was a total loss, but no one was injured following a garage fire Friday evening in Indiana. The Brook-Iroquois Township Fire Department, with automatic mutual aid from the Kentland-Jefferson Township Department, responded just before 6:30 pm to the Mark & Brenda VanVleet residence, in rural Goodland.

The structure was fully-engulfed when firefighters arrived. An additional tanker was requested from the Goodland department. Brook, Kentland and Goodland firemen fought the blaze for just under an hour.
