NWS: Extreme Wind Advisory Thursday

                                                           Wind Advisory issued Thursday thru 6 pm 


...The National Weather Service is advising the public of an extremely windy day (Thursday).  Expect Southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with occasional gusts up to to 55 mph. Some gusts could hit 50-60 mph. 
The affected areas in Illinois include Kankakee, Livingston, Iroquois and Ford Counties. Vermilion County will be effected too.  In Indiana, Lake, Porter, Newton, Jasper and Benton Counties will also be dealing with extreme winds. The NWS says this advisory will be from 8 am to 6 pm. 

Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects, cause power outages, and effect driving conditions. The strongest gusts are expected near the highway 24 corridor.
