NWS: Four tornadoes in Illinois Saturday

Four tornadoes touched down in Illinois Saturday afternoon as two storm systems moved through the region, according to the National Weather Service in Chicago. No one was hurt. One EF-0 tornado touched down in Oak Brook in DuPage County. Another was in Timberlane, located in Boone County. A brief tornado landed near the town of Capron in Boone County, but caused no damage. The fourth tornado was near Colfax in McClean County in Central Illinois.

In addition, a narrow swath of straight line wind damage happened near downtown Rockford in Winnebago County.

The tornadoes in Oak Brook and Timberlane caused damage to trees and in Timberlane some floating docks were thrown across a lake. The Oak Brook tornado was on the ground for about three minutes, the Timberlane tornado lasted about one minute.
