Oakwood Police are working with Vermilion County Sheriff's Police looking into an armed robbery which occurred Wednesday afternoon at the United Community Bank in Oakwood.

Authorities were questioning details to determine if an earlier bank robbery is connected.

The First Midwest Bank in Downtown Danville was robbed last Monday, August 12th.

Investigators say it's unknown whether there was a getaway vehicle involved. There were no injuries in either robbery.

The suspect in Wednesday's incident at Oakwood was a white male in his late 30s or early 40s. He was about 5-9 with a stocky build, wearing a light-colored tank top, camouflage cargo pants, a ball cap and dark sunglasses.
