University Park Police are seeking information concerning the shooting death of a Kankakee man in what authorities are calling an online sale that went bad.

31-year-old Kevin Jarrett died of a gunshot wound after he was allegedly robbed Thursday night. Jarrett was shot, according to police reports, in University Park in an apparent online sale gone bad.

University Park Police say Jarrett and another person arrived by car in the 800 block of White Oak Lane at 10:45 pm. to meet a buyer to complete a sale arranged on the website letgo.com,

Police said they were met by three men who robbed them and shot Jarrett. Jarrett's companion drove away, but stopped a couple of blocks away at Burnham Drive. Jarrett later died.
A witness reported seeing three black men wearing all black, with one described as a juvenile wearing his hair in an Afro.
