Open House Thursday for Thresholds Center in Kankakee

                                  Expansion of services .... Ribbon-cutting

Thresholds Center for Mental Wellbeing in Kankakee is expanding services, hosting an Open House at its 202 N. Schuyler Ave., Suite 205, facility Thursday, September 26.  Thesholds will hold a ribbon cutting and open house at 10:30 am to officially announce the expansion of its accessible, person-centered, evidence-based, individualized care for community members.

Attendees are welcome to tour the facility, connect with Thresholds leadership — including president and CEO Mark Ishaug and director of clinical operations Jeannette Tetreault — and learn more about the organization’s services.

The center’s updated services include counseling and therapy for people with Medicaid, no insurance, or commercial insurance on a sliding fee scale; veteran-specific support and care; LGTBQ+ community-specific support and care; increased substance use recovery programs and supports; expressive art therapy; theraplay sessions for youth and children and outpatient clinic services. The team has also added a registered nurse and a dedicated case manager to its growing team.
