Sugar Creek Opera performs "The Barber of Seville" this evening ! It's local opera, the 16th year professional stage performers bring their talents to Iroquois County. The opera performance is at Central High School in Clifton in the Harold & Jean Miner Auditoreum. The local flavor is Watseka-native Helen Todd. The soprano is general-artistic director for Sugar Creek Opera. This year, there's more local talent with Brad Benoit of Kankakee. Other local appearances include three Gilman Elementary School students…Wesley Conner, Tank Wilson and Chase Honeycutt. They are second-graders playing the role of miniature soldiers.
