Paxton bar fight leaves one man dead, another in custody

PAXTON — A 49-year-old Paxton man is dead and another man is in custody after a bar fight in Paxton.

Paxton Police reported Jeffrey Potts, of Paxton, died early Friday after being found lying on a sidewalk in front of Shooky's Bar.

Potts had been stabbed in the chest.

33-year-old Sean Kelley was also found on the sidewalk. He was treated for unspecified injuries and later arrested.

Kelley faces preliminary charges of aggravated battery and second-degree murder. He's being held on $1 million bond in the Ford County Jail.
