Paxton Police report the arrest of a local man for intimidating a witness. 39-year-old Alex J. Riblet of Paxton allegedly tried to intimidate a witness in a pending case against Jerome Burkes of Paxton. Police said Burkes allegedly instructed Riblet to threaten the witness in an attempt to have the witness change their statement and testimony.
Burkes was arrested back in December (11th) on a Ford County warrant for aggravated battery in connection with an alleged battery that reportedly occurred Thursday, November 21. 

The Ford County Chronicle also reports the 33-year-old Burkes was arrested December 11on a Ford County warrant for aggravated battery.
