Paxton man facing arson charge now slapped with theft

Forty-eight year-old Darin McCall of Paxton is facing a new charge of theft, accused of stealing a tractor and selling it to a recycling facility.

McCall is accused of stealing an antique tractor from a Vermilion County site near Rankin and then selling the equipment to the recycling business in Iroquois County.

McCall is facing a felony theft charge. In Vermilion County, McCall has pleaded 'not guilty' to a felony arson charge for allegedly starting a house on fire than he was renting in Loda,

Three days later, he pleaded innocent to a previous charge of arson, a Class 2 felony, in connection with a fire he allegedly set last year in a home he was renting in Loda.
