Paxton man ticketed in two-vehicle accident that killed Loda woman

Three traffic tickets have been issued to a Paxton man following the crash last week in Ford County that killed a passenger in his car.

46-yr-old Kevin Patterson was the driver of the vehicle that ran into an intersection and collided with a second vehicle. Patterson was cited for driving on a revoked license, disobeying a stop sign, and not wearing a seat belt.

Ford County Sheriff Mark Doran had said last week that Patterson was being treated at Carle Hospital in Urbana following the collision that killed 54-yr-old Lori Whitfield of Loda. Two other people in the 2nd vehicle were also injured, but not seriously.

Doran said Wednesday's two-vehicle crash happened at the intersection of county roads 1600 E and 100 N.
