A precautionary lockdown of Paxton-Buckley-Loda High School was put in place Thursday morning. The “soft” lockdown resulted from a toy gun found by two students in a restroom.
The Paxton Police Department investigated and determined that it was a toy gun.

The school administration reported “at no point was anybody in harms way.”
