Pembroke bus fiasco leads to indictments in Kankakee County

The battering of a student on a school bus in Pembroke Township now finds five people facing indictment. The Kankakee County grand jury returned its ruling against the five for Battery and Mob Action.

It was September 16th when the five defendants boarded a school bus and caused the disturbance.

State's Attorney Jamie Boyd identifies the defendants as Patricia Brooks, Johnnie Brooks, Kushaiah Grant, Brook Harris and Cornell Grant. The five are accused of boarding the bus to confront a student who reportedly had been bullying a female relative. The five allegedly battered a student who had come to the defense of the young girl.
