Pembroke Township man gets 10-years for selling firearms

32-year-old Jeremiah Hill of Pembroke Township, in rural Kankakee County, was sentenced  (Monday) to 120 months (10 years) in federal prison for possession of firearms by a felon.  In March 25, 2021, Hill entered a plea of guilty to the indictment. The indictment charged Hill with five counts of possession of a firearm by a felon between March 2019 to  July 2019. Hill has remained in the custody of the U.S. Marshals since his arrest .  Court documents reveal Hill sold a total of eleven firearms to an undercover agent.

Hill will be required to complete three years of supervised release following his release from the Bureau of Prisons. The charges were investigated by Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms and the Kankakee Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Elly M. Peirson represented the government in the prosecution.
