Kankakee Police are looking for the driver of a vehicle that apparently was involved in a hit and run incident that killed a man early in the new year.

40-year-old Anthony Stewart was pronounced dead at the scene about an hour past the new year’s arrival Tuesday. Police reported a second person was also injured, nearby. That person was treated at Presence St. Mary’s Hospital.

The accident happened about an hour into the new year in the 200-block of N. Chicago Avenue.
