Police seek Iroquois Federal bank robber

Danville Police continue their search for a gunman wanted in connection with an armed robbery at the Iroquois Federal bank facility Wednesday. The business at 619 North Gilbert Street was robbed at about 3 pm.

Police hopes that because of the location, a busier street, someone may have seen something that will help.

''Initial reports from the bank indicate that a white male entered the facility, brandished a handgun and left the bank with an unknown amount of money,'' said Thomason. ''The individual was described as being in his early 30s, five-feet-nine to five-feet-ten-inches in height, wearing an orange colored t-shirt and blue jeans.''

The suspect was last seen running southwest from the bank facility.

No one was hurt during the robbery.
