Police seek murder suspect in Kankakee shooting

Law enforcement authorities in Kankakee County are searching for a man accused of shooting and killing a Pembroke Township man.  An arrest warrant was issued Thursday for 32-year-old Thearthur W. Scott of Kankakee.  He's wanted for the shooting death of Elijah J. Robinson early Tuesday on Kankakee's east side. 

Robinson was found in a stairwell in the 200-block of N. Crestlane Drive.  Kankakee Police Chief Chris Kidwell said earlier officers responded to shots fired at 3:41 am.  Shelll casings were recovered at the scene.  Robimnson died in the ER at Ascension St. Mary's Hospital. 

Kankakee police report Scott is considered armed and dangerous. The 32-year-old is 5-4, weighs about 140 poundssaid he is believed to be armed and dangerous.

Meanwhile -- The 28-year-old murder victim, Elijah Robinson, is said to be the brother of a man shot and killed in Watseka last summer. That victim was involved in the homicide at a residence on North Street in Watseka.
