Pontiac man identified among dead at a motel

A 22-year-old Pontiac man was identified Wednesday as one of two people found dead in a motel room Tuesday morning.

Tyler Friant was identified using fingerprints, according to Livingston County Coroner Mike Burke.

A male and a female were found dead in the Palamar motel. The identity of the female has not been released. A third person was hospitalized.

The third person was taken to the emergency room of OSF St. James John Albrecht Medical Center in Pontiac. Details and a condition report were not available.

Pontiac police are investigating with assistance by the state police crime scene services, Livingston County Sheriff's Office, Dwight police and members of the Livingston County Proactive Unit.
