(Chicago, IL) -- Three days after Kankakee County and other Chicago southern suburbs were pummeled by high winds and heavy rain, some 16-thousand homes and businesses are still without power. ComEd says it has 12-hundred repair crews working around the clock on reconnecting those customers still in the dark, and the company had hopes to have everyone back on by the end of the day Thursday. The company acknowledges though that some customers may not be back on line until July 4th.
