PRISON TERMS HANDED DOWN IN KANKAKEE CIRCUIT COURT

A St. Anne man was handed an eight-year prison term in Kankakee Circuit Court for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance – with intent to Deliver.   Heural Griffith was also ordered by Judge Clark Erickson to serve an additional year in the department of Corrections for an unrelated Class X felony.

Judge Kathy Bradshaw-Elliott imposed a one-year prison term to Sabas Hernandez of Bradley for a Class 4 felony of Domestic Battery – causing bodily harm.  Hernandez entered a guilty plea.

Judge Elliott also handed a Chicago woman a three-year prison term.  Mariah Herns was also ordered to pay court fees for Receiving and Possession of a Stolen Vehicle. She plead guilty.

Judge Elliott imposed a four-year prison term for Residential Burglary.  Brent Houston of Kankakee was ordered to also pay court fees following a plea of guilty.

Davet Moore of Kankakee entered guilty plea to Unlawful Possession of Cannabis – with intent to Deliver.  Judge Erickson imposed a sentence of four and a-half years.  Moore was also sentenced to five years in prison for another class 3 felony for a total of nine and a-half years.
