Progress with Pipeline Fuel Release Clean-up

Marathon Pipeline Company reports 1200 barrels of gasoline that leaded from a ruptured pipeline loast week in Iroquois County has been repaired.  The spilled fuel has been recovered and removed.  

A 12-inch pipeline was severed by a contractor near Gilman Wednesday.  The Marathon Company shut down the line, isolated the problem area and resources were called in to remedy the sutuation.  More than 130 responders worked with emergency management agency officials in containing the leaked fuel.  The Iroquois County Public Health Department is now testing private water wells as a precaution.  There have been no adverse issues.
