Jim and Cathi Van Natta lock the door of Quality Supermarket for the final time this afternoon.

The popular store on Oak Street in Watseka leaves the Watseka business community after 96 years. The Van Natta name has been associated with the grocery business dating back to 1917. That's when Jim's grandparents, Harold and Mabel, first started.

The business has been sold to Berkot's Super Foods. Berkots is making a return to Watseka next month at its former location in the Eastside Plaza, joining the Big R store and Subway. 

Jim Van Natta, his wife, Cathi, and his mother, Marie extend a thank you to the entire community and county for support over the years.

Quality closes at 5 pm.
