Rain prompts flooding, evacuations in Boswell, IN

Benton County Emergency Management Agency reports some evacuations due to heavy rain and flooding in Boswell. Sections of Boswell were under water and several roads were barricaded.

A travel advisory was in place. EMA Director John Field was expecting the travel restrictions to be lifted today (Wed).
Reports of eight inches of rain fell in recent days. There were some evacuations. Some homes were completely surrounded by flood waters, forcing some people to take boats to safety.
Some people were taken to the Boswell-Grant Township Volunteer Fire Department. Residents are advised to remain cautious.
