Friday marked the start of Phase 3 of the Restore Illinois plan. Several communities organized their own programs to help businesses get moving again with business activity. Social distancing guidelines remain in place…hair salons opened up, nails had women waiting and gyms were setting up with social distancing GUIDELINES. Malls were opening for walkers with directional flow charts.

Public Works Departments in some communities were helping to set up barriers and tables and chairs for outside dining. Bourbonnais and Manteno officials were setting up outdoor arrangements so that the bars and restaurants can accommodate customers.

And many area towns were also giving kudos again to their home-town heroes for all the help during the troubled times in weeks past while the recovery continues.
