The community of Reddick and the Reddick Community Fire Protection District is looking at opportunity with the fire district's purchase of the former Reddick school.

The fire district bought the school property for $52, 200. The acquisition opens the doors to expansion, giving the fire district much more room. The fire district currently houses four vehicles in a single-door garage attached to the Lions Hall.

The former 4th and 5th grader attendance center was closed after the 2012 – 2013 school year.
