A body found in Kankakee State River Park over the weekend is now identified as that of 62-year-old Dan Jarski. The Grant Park man went missing September 9.
The Will County Coroner’s Office confirmed the news, released to family Tuesday night.
The Coroner’s office stated the remains were discovered Saturday during a search by Jarski’s family and volunteers. The search was west of Warner Bridge Road in Will County.
Jarski left his home outside of Grant Park. He left without a phone and his wallet.
His van was discovered parked in a Hunting Area at the Kankakee State Park.
Jarski was a retired teacher.
