State Rep Jason Bunting wants to hear from constituents. His recently-mailed survey is asking voters to answer questions and provide input on issues that could lead to suggested legislation… "You can fill the survey out online, Bunting said. "Everybody in the 106 ths District received one in the mail a couple weeks ago. The feedback on that has been great. I think last year, we had two hundred and seventy do it online. We had about three hundred, send it back in the mail, and that went over the whole year, and we've already hit them numbers already this year. It's good so I can get some good feedback from my constituents on what I need to fight for and what I need to work for in Springfield as we go into session to make sure that their voices are heard."
House Republicans are in the minority, 40 GOP members to 78 Democrats. Bi-partisan support is always a must for the minority members to advance legislation.
Bunting also said legislation has been drafted to improve safety at some intersections where traffic accidents have led to serious injury or fatalities. The hope is to get the Illinois Department of Transportation involved in pushing for safety features to reduce accidents.
