State Representative Lindsay Parkhurst recently surveyed constituents to help her prepare for the legislative discussions about key issues of concern.
Results of a recent 79th district-wide survey on key issues facing lawmakers in Springfield shows 37 percent named high property taxes as the most important issue facing the district. Of those responding, 51% oppose recreational use of marijuana in Illinois.... 80 percent support taking the district map making process out of the hands of lawmakers.... 94% percent support term limits for members of the general assembly.
The survey also reveals 58% do not support the Governor-elect JB Pritzker’s proposed graduated income tax plan and 42% oppose regulated sports betting in Illinois.
Parkhurst says the survey results will help her better prepare to work for the people in her district.
