Iroquois County's proposed River Conservancy District is the focus of a Town Hall Meeting next week. It's the second such Town Hall meeting to explain what the district is all about and how it will lead to better flood control. The meeting welcomes all interested to the Trinity Church in Watseka on Thursday, March 12. The meeting is at 6 pm.
The river district has stirred questions and raised opposition. Many believe the boundaries of the proposed district should include the entire county, not just the four townships layed out. The meeting will include a presentation of what the conservancy district will do for helping to control flood waters and also questions and answers.
