A downturn in scrap-metal prices has forced the Iroquois County River Valley Recycling Center facility to be a bit more creative in its operations. But the rural Crescent City location is open for business.

RVR owner Kyle Bruno tells 94.1 WGFA News the Route 24 facility is open, just limited hours on Tuesdays and Saturdays ......

The Iroquois County site is open Tuesdays from 8a ‘til 4:30p. Saturdays hours are 8a ‘til 12:30p.

Bruno said the Kankakee South tech Drive site is open for regular business. The Hobby Avenue Buy-Back Center is now being rented out to other ventures. The RVR staff will continue to accommodate scrap-metal customers.

River Valley Recycling on Route 24 hosted the Watseka Area Chamber of Commerce Business After-Hours program Wednesday evening.
