Riverside Medical Center Gives More Than $9,300 to Area Schools

                              Scores for Schools Program Earns Money for 16 Local Schools

KANKAKEE, IL (February 4, 2014) – The 2014 sports seasons should look a little brighter for area schools who participated in Riverside's Scores for Schools program. Riverside Medical Center was proud to present the schools with $9,355.

The program saw a few changes recently with the addition of girls' varsity volleyball. Schools were now able to earn $25 for every home varsity touchdown scored if they have a football team and $20 for ever home varsity volleyball game won. For schools that do not have a football program, the varsity soccer team earned $10 for every varsity goal scored at home.

Jessica Kebert, Riverside marketing and public relations specialist, delivered checks to the schools for the following amounts:

Beecher High School - $630

Bishop McNamara High School - $870

Bradley Bourbonnais Community High School - $1,170

Central High School - $835

Grant Park High School - $500

Herscher High School - $365

Kankakee High School - $380

Kankakee Trinity Academy - $510

Manteno High School - $570

Momence High School - $695

Peotone High School - $945

Reed Custer High School - $420

St. Anne High School - $260

Watseka High School - $605

Wilmington High School - $600
