Kankakee County motorists may want to make some alternate travel plans today. Well-travelled John Casey Road will be closed today (Friday).

Aqua Illinois work crews report water main repairs created a small sinkhole at the intersection of U.S. Route 45 and East John Casey Road. Repairs are taking a little longer than expected.

Best bet for motorists is to avoid that area while repairs are made.
