Road-Rage case leads to 12-year prison term

40-year-old Jeffrey Cole of Bourbonnais was handed a 12-year prison sentence for a June 2020 case in which he was accused of using a firearm in a road-rage incident in Bradley. The Daily-Journal reported Cole was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon by a felon while in possession of body armor.

Kankakee County State’s Attorney Jim Rowe said in a news release, Cole pointed a weapon at passengers in another vehicle on Illinois Route 50. Cole had previously been convicted of a felony and was not authorized to possess a firearm, according to Rowe’s news release.

Police found a loaded .38 caliber gun and rounds of ammo in Cole’s vehicle.
