Interstate 57 between exits 312 in Kankakee and 315 at Bradley will be closed intermittently next week for bridge work on North Street in Bradley.

Illinois Department of Transportation reports the closure — from Monday to Thursday — is necessary while construction crews place a new I-beam for the overpass.

Weather conditions could come into play.

The $3.9 million project is replacing the old two-lane bridge overpass structure with a four-lane overpass. It will include an 8-foot-wide bicycle-lane on the northside of the overpass.

IDOT says detour routes will be Illinois 50 and Illinois 17.

Route 52 resurfacing in Tippecanoe County, IN ---

The Indiana Department of Transportation has closed U.S. Route 52 at Lafayette to E. County Road 900 S.

The road was closed Friday and will reopen Monday, October 8. It's part of a major patching and resurfacing project expected to be completed by end of the month.
