Robbery suspect arrested, may be linked to bank robbery in Watseka

A robbery suspect arrested Tuesday in Indiana may be linked to the September hold-up of the Iroquois Farmers State Bank in Watseka.

41-year-old Joseph Kruger of Tilton faces at least 5-counts of felony robbery in Lafayette, IN. He’s alleged to have robbed the Centier Bank, Regions Bank and Horizon Bank in Lafayette. Police there, also he’s a suspect in at least nine other jurisdictions involving multiple states.

Kruger was arrested Wednesday morning at a Shelbyville motel. Police linked him to the Tuesday bank robbery at the Centier Bank on Sagamore Parkway in Lafayette. Security video shows him in a stocking cap and fake-beard.
