A four-year-old girl was among three people injured Friday morning in a two-vehicle collision on Route 17 at Splear Road, east of Kankakee.

The driver of an SUV the child was a passenger in was cited by Illinois State police for Failure to Yield. 32-year-old Jillian Rodgers of Bourbonnais was southbound on Splear Road at 7:40 am. The driver pulled onto Route 17 and was hit by a westbound car on Highway 17, which was driven by a St. Anne man.

Both drivers and the child were taken to local hospitals.
