Weather permitting, the Union Pacific begins a railroad crossing improvement project this (Monday) evening.  The crossing, at McNamara and North Street, will be closed to traffic for about four days while the grade-crossing is improved.  A posted detour will direct motorists to Route 17 and Old Route 66.  Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time to get to-and-from.  Alternate routes are suggested.
